Bringing Humanity To The Next Level

Ishvara:

Everything is in a state of change. Yet because you are so powerful, you can see things from a past perspective. You have a concept or an ideal of what a person is, who a person is, and that is how you perceive the person. You see the person that way continuously. It is as if you go through your life wearing blinders or dark glasses.

You do great service to Life through your presence when you just see what-is without holding on to what-was, when you see what is happening now, as it is, without clinging to some perspective, need, or ideal of how it was or how it is supposed to be.

Life is a very simple process. There is no great mystery to it when you are clear. You see, all of Life is about realizing connections, and those connections bring about a greater awareness, an awareness that is ongoing, unfolding. It is no wonder that so much of past teaching is about forgiveness: forgive others. So much is about love: love your enemies. There has been great wisdom throughout humanity's history. Often the wisdom has been misinterpreted and misapplied, but that does not diminish the wisdom. There have been great individuals who realized their connection with Life, with the universe, and to the best of their ability presented a fresh perspective on the moment, as it was seen in that moment. That is the sort of "lineage," a body of information, of knowledge, that continues to be passed on to the next generation. It is there, but without wisdom, connection, and awareness, it is missed or misinterpreted. Instead of the thing itself, it becomes "about" the thing.

It is very much like looking at a great spread of gourmet food. You sit down and take notes about it, write about it, make photographs of it, and tell others about it. You try to describe it: "It is like . . ., it is like . . . " But while you are doing all of this, unfortunately, you never sample it; you never take a bite. So how could you possibly know what it is? You may know everything about it. You may know the ingredients and some of the recipes that were used, you may figure out how it was prepared, and you may spend all your energies trying to describe this great gourmet meal that is on the table. You can say: "It was wonderful, it was beautiful; it smelled delightful." Then an innocent individual comes along and asks, "How did it taste?" You respond, "Well, I didn't get around to sampling it. My job was to talk about it." Too bad. You missed the opportunity to experience it.

That is the capacity of the human being: to experience things. It is very difficult to experience anything if your mind is set on how it is. If you are pre-programmed, conditioned, living the consensus-reality life, then everything you taste or look at is just "about." You run it through your intellect. The intellect says, "This is what's happening; this is how it works; this is what it means." The intellect knows everything "about" it. But the intellect is after-the-fact. The intellect knows "about" it, but YOU, the Self that you are, knows it. And that is the real thing: to know it.

If you really strip the past teachings of all the rules, if you take out the "about", if you remove whatever validations are hanging around it, and just look at it for itself, you gain something. You can experience it.

You can experience Buddha, you can experience Christ, you can experience Mohammed. You can experience what they are. You have lots of beliefs "about," but the direct experience is the experience of the energy of Life, a piece of the universe that is expressing itself in some marvelous way. That cannot really be written about. You can read all the books, attend all the seminars, do everything intellectually possible, but all of it holds no light to the direct experience. That is why IT--the direct experience of the ever-evolving core of Life--is passed on from time to time to time, generation to generation, intact without the trappings, without the validations, without the coloring or the shading, without the mechanisms.

So this IT is freed up now and then to re-express the truth, that core information, knowledge and wisdom; it is freed up to express without the limitations of "about", "should", or "shouldn't." I don't know how long it is going to take for people to realize this. People keep looking at IT through the intellect, the "supposed to", the controls, and the conditioning, thus missing the direct experience.

IT awakens for the sake of humanity. When humanity has mastered a certain level of the vibrational experience of Life, when humanity has moved itself to a certain position, IT springs forth in a newness, a freshness, a vitality, to bring humanity to the next level. That is where humanity is now: striving to achieve, to move to the next level of existence. It is doing so in spite of the obstacles, in spite of "they say," in spite of the interpretations, beliefs, conditioning, and controlling mechanisms.
